I would like to throw our website into the fray as useful.the new University of Oregon University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) website (http://ucedd.uoregon.edu/). Our mission is to be of assistance in improving the quality of life for all persons with developmental disabilities and their families. To accomplish this, we provide these activities:

    * Training
    * Technical Assistance
    * Interdisciplinary Training
    * Dissemination
    * Networking
    * Model Development

These activities function in a culturally competent fashion, to meet the multiple needs of individuals and their families from diverse racial, cultural, ethnic and linguistic groups. When you visit our website we would love to know what you think about the information! You can share your impression with us by answering a simple, one question survey posted at http://ucedd.uoregon.edu/feedback.php.
Please share this link with your staff, clients and families. The comments received will assist us in improving our information for families and individuals with disabilities throughout Oregon.
Lastly we would like to request that your organization include the UCEDD as a link on your website. Please contact us with any suggestions or questions about how we may be of assistance to the Oregonians you serve. We can be reached at 541-346-3591 or via email at uocedd@uoregon.edu.

Here are some more.... I love working-live documents!

Better Business Bureau (BBB): BBB offers programs, tips and alerts to help build a marketplace with better businesses. Start with BBB's Standards of Trust and BBB's Code of Advertising. BBB’s Data Security—Made Simpler resource shows small business owners how to protect their business, employees and customers from data breaches: www.bbb.org/data-security.

Federal Trade Commission (FTC): The FTC offers businesses online tutorials, videos and publications to enhance compliance with fraud prevention laws: www.ftc.gov/bcp/business.

Business.gov: The U.S. Government's official website for small businesses provides a guide to business laws and regulations, government programs and other services needed to successfully run a business: www.business.gov.

State resources: Find state licensing requirements and information at www.filinginoregon.com and www.licenseinfo.oregon.gov. Contact the city to find out if any additional city licensing is required. Additional Oregon business tips can be found at www.oregon4biz.com.

I wanted to add this one also for great industry research in regards to employment. This site will let you choose the state you are interested in and then you can go from there in locating industry stats.

Sources of State and Local Job Outlook Information

Most States have career information delivery systems (CIDS), which may be found in secondary and postsecondary institutions, as well as libraries, job training sites, vocational-technical schools, and employment offices. A wide range of information is provided, from employment opportunities to unemployment insurance claims.
